Has anyone used the Blue shuttle in Paris for transportation from the airport to the center and back again. Thanks!
Hello Dee,
I've never taken the Blue Shuttle, but I can attempt to help you make an informed decision with tons of trivial information ;)
Which airport are you using? (Beauvais, CDG, or Orly)
Normally, I would suggest using public transport, but the strikes have drastically altered the bus/RER schedules. Only half of the Roissybus (CDG) buses are running, but the Orlybus has resumed normal service.
You may also consider pricing:
Roissybus - 8.60E (departs from Opera Garnier)
Orlybus - 6.10E (departs from Denfert-Rochereau)
Orlyval (train) - 9.30E (departs from Chatelet-Les Halles,
Gare du Nord, and Denfert-Rochereau)
Blue Shuttle - 14.50E per person for two people, 23.50E for a single person. Tickets must be purchased online and must be round trip from 6am-4pm.
RER line B - currently sporadic - 8.20E
Travel time is important for some:
Roissybus - 45-60 minutes
Orlybus - about 30 minutes
continued...
Orlyval - 35 minutes from Chatelet, 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle-Etoile metro stop
You could also take a taxi or see if your hotel offers an airport shuttle. Best of luck to you!
