Black Friday Deals?

This morning I got a Google Flights alert for PDX->LHR I've been fantasizing about. Business class has been running around $3300-3400 per seat. I could book Delta/Virgin Atlantic via SEA this morning for $2284.

That is a great price for business class! Which travel months are on offer?

@Lola: That was PDX-LHR round trip via SEA, May 18 to June 1. My wife would like to do the Chelsea Flower Show some day.

The problem with living in Portland, OR is , "You can't get there from here." You always have to go somewhere else first.

Google flights just showed us 2 multi-city business class seats (Tulsa-Paris; Bologna-Tulsa) for $5100, on American Airlines code shares. I may pull the trigger on this... That's about $1300 less than I've been seeing.

Edit to add: AlanJ, same problem flying from Tulsa. No direct flights anywhere in Europe, and darned few 1-stop.

I popped around the corner today for a case of 'Burnt Ship Bay' Cab Merlot. Black Friday special. It's very good. Also, for the price, the Pinot Grigio is excellent.

Whoop! Just booked tickets for next year: with Black Friday savings, AARP discount, and an extra $450 or so off using points, we're booked on British Airways for $2000 less that the last time I checked prices. It came to about $2280 per business class seat. That includes the seat choice fee; had we opted to forego choosing seats, it would have been $2176 each.

I'm happy.

Thanks AlanJ, for reminding us about Black Friday deals.

British Air is adding back Pdx-LHR but it isn't bookable yet, just an FYI if you plan on returning in the future.

I just received an email from Air New Zealand, announcing their Cyber Monday deals: from $998 for economy RT to New Zealand or Australia from LAX or SFO; premium economy for $2498. Those are US dollars, not NZ, but still a good price.
