Hello,
Some friends of mine and I are planning a trip to Europe for July-August, and we know which countries we want to visit. Our current itinerary plans for a trip through: England, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, and the Netherlands. After doing some research, it seemed the best way to do this was to get the Eurail 5-country pass. We plan on traveling for a total of eight days. But, that gives us a problem! Because our route has us go to Greece, and we are returning to Italy before going to the Netherlands, we would end up using two of our travel days to get from Italy to Germany, as we would have to travel through France. So, we thought the best way to avoid having to use two of our travel days is to cut through a country that our Eurail pass doesn't cover, namely Austria or Switzerland. I've tried doing some research, but I can't seem to find any information on purchasing tickets for going through a country. Has anyone else had any experience with something like this and can give us some insight? Thanks!
