We had a foreign exchange student last year and my daughter is dying to go and see her. She has a short school vacation the first week of October so I would like to take her then. What is the cheapest and quickest way to get there (plane, train, ??) Thanks.
According www.kayak.com the cheapest airfares are via KLM connecting through Amsterdam.
Nothing non-stop from DFW, so you’re probably looking at Lufthansa via FRA (less expensive) or American/British Airways via London (more expensive).
There are only 2 nonstop flights from North America into Hamburg: Continental fly Newark to Hamburg every day and there is Air Transat flying from Toronto to Hamburg every Wednesday (return on Thursdays).
Of course, you can fly direct to Heathrow on American or probably other airlines and connect from Heathrow to just about anywhere. American also flies directly to Frankfort and Brussels from Dallas, but I don't know how often the flights are. Pam
Thanks for all the information. I will continue to plan the trip per your suggestions...
