best way to CDG mid-week, mid-morning

What is recommended for getting to CDG (Terminal 2B), leaving Paris at, say, 8:30-9 am on a Wednesday? Our closest train station is Montparnasse - about a 20 minute walk to it. And the metro stops Babylone and Rennes are close to us. We would like to arrive at CDG around 10am.

We will have a small rolling bag & small backpack each. Will the metro still be in rush hour at that time? We have done the metro with rolling bags so we understand stairs, etc.- the concern is more about any 'packing' crush there might be in the cars at that time.

This would be the exact route: Take metro line 10 from Sevres-Babylone to Cluny-la Sorbonne, walk through the connecting tunnels to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, and take the RER B to CDG. The RER B line divides northeast of Paris so be sure to get on a train that is going to CDG. The fare is €8.60.

The metro will still be in rush hour at that time but rush hour conditions vary from line to line. I have seen people with full sized rolling suitcases on the metro at prime rush hour and they push themselves into the train like anyone else. The area of the city that you are in most likely will not have heavy rish hour conditions. Go for the metro, you'll be jsut fine.
