Hi, i need an easy and economical way to travel from Copenhagen to Barcelona. Is train a good way? If flying is better, what airlines are available for that route? We are 2 Seniors trying to do two cruises in Europe before coming home. This is our first try at cruises in Europe. Thanks.
Hi Kasey, I tried skyscanner.net and whichbudget.com and personally liked the choices and fares through whichbudget. I didn't even try the trains because a train trip would take too long unless you wanted to stop off somewhere else.
I agree about discounting the train, it's a long way. I did a quick search and got journey times around 29 hours.
As for aeroplanes, I think that SAS and Air Berlin are the only airlines offering direct flights. If you don't mind a connection then most of the other big names will get you there.
Edited to add: I just noticed the cruise part, I guess you'll have a lot of luggage? One thing to watch with the budget airlines (and airlines in general really) is their luggage restrictions, which can be quite low.
Thank you for your suggestions. We travel light, we will have one "Carryon" (American style. 22" high) bag each and a backpack for my husband and a large purse for me. Will that be considered excessive amount of luggage on the airlines you suggested?
