Hi,
We are planning on visiting Cardiff, Stratford upon Avon, Oxford,Stonehenge and before heading into London to spend about 5 days in the city. Can't decide if car (we would need automatic transportation), railpass, or point to point rail tickets would be cheapest and/or least stress? Any thoughts from people who have travelled in these areas?
For 2 or more folks, car is almost always cheaper. No stress to make train schedules, you make up the schedule, or change it on the fly. Roads in this area are Motorways, or at least good 2 lane asphalt roads. No problem. Of course you drop the car for London.
Bus (coach) travel between London and Oxford was easy and cheap. One of many problems with an auto is parking it.
