the plan: drive around scotland then travel by train from scotland to london, paris and barcelona spending about 3-4 days in each location....what is the most economical option that will still allow us to see the sights during a 2 week trip?
honestly were fine with the down and dirty budget travel. We were thinking of maybe renting a car in Scotland and driving to london and dropping it off there and then taking trains the rest of the way. Pretty much I would love to just hike and bike and travel the country side and small towns in Scotland (would love ideas) and then just see the big sights in london and paris. I would love some more down time in Barcelona and don't know much about the surrounding area but was hoping we could get around mostly by rail? Does this help? We are in the beginning stages of planning so I really dont have a lot of details to offer up but would love suggestions on the best ways to get around!
