What is the best (least time, cost, hassle) transportation from CK to Nuremburg the week after next? The train takes 6+ hours, I believe. A shuttle from CK to Linz (1.5 hrs) and ICE (3 hrs) is about 4.5 hrs plus wait time. Are there other alternatives? Bus? Thanks for your help.

You aren't going to find one bus, like the one that runs from Prague to Nürnberg, from CK to Nürnberg, and going all the way from CK to Prague to catch that bus would probably be too far out of the way and add a couple of hours time. It wouldn't, however, add changes. There are some privately run long haul bus companies, like Eurolines, but they seem to concentrate on stops in major cities. I don't know that they would stop in Cesky Krumlov.

You could take Os 8110 from Cesky Krumlov, at 11:01 to Ceske Budejovice at 11:51, then R660 at 12:01 to Pilsen at 13:57, then EX/ALX 354 from Pilsen at 15:00 to Nürnberg at 17:56 - only 2 changes, but almost 7 hours, and you'd have to spend over an hour at the Pilsen station, which, take my word for it, isn't very exciting.

Thanks, Lee. You are convincing that a 10AM shuttle to Linz Hbf and the ICE 26 is the way to go--just a bit more than 5 hours overall. Thanks again.
