We arrive at Orly - a group of 3 adults. What's a good transportation option for us? The AirFrance bus is going to be 33Euros and will deposit us at a spot that will then require the Metro since we have luggage and it looks a little far to walk...1.8 miles, I think. The Shuttle Express-type companies want at least 50Euros. Orlyval will be about 31Euros. Is this the rare situation when we should actually take a cab as it might be just as inexpensive and so convenient to be dropped off at our front door? We arrive on a Monday in June at 11:15 in the morning. I know cab fare is hard to predict, but will it likely come in under 40 Euros? Thanks!
The Aeroports de Paris site gives an estimated fare of around €40 for a taxi from Orly to Notre-Dame. A cheaper but slower route by public transportation than the Orlyval, RER B, and metro would be to take the airport shuttle bus to the Pont de Rungis RER C station (€2.50) and the RER C + metro (€3.80) from there.
