Hello! I'll be traveling to Europe in 2 weeks and am trying to find the quickest and most economical way to get from Germany (Nuremberg area) to Florence & return into the Munich airport for a 6am flight back to the states. Any suggestions are much appreciated!!!

There are several EuroCity (EC)trains between Munich and towns (Verona, Bologna, Padova) in Italy every day. You can get advance purchase fares online from the Bahn for as low as 39€/P each way for the leg between Munich and the Italian city; you'll have to purchase separate Italian Rail tickets between there and Florence (Firenze). There is also a direct CNL night train from Munich (21:03) to Florence (6:18). You can find these schedules and the lowest prices on the German Rail (Bahn) website. You might also find discount flights. One of the low cost airlines uses Nürnberg as a hub, but beware. RyanAir uses "Munich West", which is hours west of Munich.

If you decide to fly, your best option would be to book non-stop roundtrip (Munich-Florence and Florence-Munich) tickets on Lufthansa.
