Best time to book for June 08 - premium seats

Planning flights for RS 21 day Best of Europe tour with daughter. I got some good feedback that next Feb/Mar would be a good time to book air. Does that hold true for premium seating? Asking around and having done the SFO-LHR flt a couple of times leads me to believe it would be worth a bit more to fly in better comfort, but I still wold rather not pay around $2000 each!

Biz will cost more - double or more than coach for their special deal biz flights - but if yo ucan afford it = its worth it. Also - you get double miles - so youre that much closer to free flight soon! (im doing that after 3 paid flights!)

Most arilines allow to book up to are about 11 months ahead - so for june - you have best choice now (BUT you may get some "summer deals" starting in Dec or Jan.) but those go fast too! 950 vs 12-1400$ for West Coast to Europe

We flew United business class from Sacramento to Italy on United's Star Alliance partner Lufthansa. It was fantastic. We flew on our United points. Have you seen the latest United fares? I just checked. $1,536 for coach and (gulp) $9,816 for business class. Delta/Air France has a $1,074 per person coach flight into CDG in Paris from Sacramento. Business class is $10,500.

I doubt you'll get Business Class for around $2k each. To give you an idea, when Air France was doing a route introduction sale on its new Seattle-Paris non-stop they were offering business for around $3,250 round trip. Anything less than $4,000 for business class from the west coast is a heck of a deal, but expect to pay more around $6,000 at least.

Spend the money once you get there. The amount of things you can do in Europe for the $ you save by booking coach is huge.

Thank you all! Actually I did find Premium Economy on Virgin Air from SFO to AMS and returning from LHR to SFO for $1600 a peice (including all fees) but that was with a $400 discount for booking before end of Oct. I also found several other premium economy fares with other airlines like BA, for $4055 for the two of us. Also Aer Lingus at close to, or slightly under $2k each.

I wasn't really looking at true business class, so maybe that's the difference, but something still much better than plain coach. My quandry is whether to wait in hopes of cheaper fares early next year, or if those anticipated discounts would apply only for coach.
