Three of us will be in Normandy in Sept. What is the most efficient way to get from there to Edinburgh? Keeping in mind expense.

Arranging some flight or train+flight is the only way. Maybe train to Paris + flight to Edinburgh

Take the train from Bayeux to Paris. EasyJet and Flybe are budget airlines that fly non-stop from CDG to Edinburgh. The sooner you book, the cheaper the fare.
