Which airlines off the best service on Economy trips to Europe ? I was thinking of Flying JFK to Frankfurt and then connect to Venice ...train venice to Rome and Rome to Frankfurt --Frankfurt-JFK ----Using Frankfurt as a hub ..on Singapore airlines.
For inter Euro flights use whichbudget.com to find your airline.
Rome to Frankfurt, and FRA to Venice (or Venice Trevesio) are excellent routes for the cheap inter euro airlines.
We have had great flights on Lufthansa, Air One, Alpi Eagles, etc.
Take caution with Ryan Air, since you will have to go to FRA Hahn to catch their super low cost flights.
Singapore airlines is one of the best Asian based carriers. I haven't flown with them for a while but they have a modern fleet and are really efficient and staff are great. If you can get a cheap flight with them I would take it.
I would disagree...you can't generalise - it really depends on the flight, the plane and the airline.
I fly from the UK to NY on Continental, which is a single aisle plane (767, I believe). It's snug, but the lack of space is more than compensated by avoiding Heathrow and cutting a hour or more off the flight time.
In any case, any low cost airline in Europe is going to be using a single aisle plane. No choice there and since most flights are 3 hours or less, it doesn't make much of a difference.
Frankfurt is fine, if lacking in places to sit down whilst you're waiting. Just make sure to leave PLENTY of time between flights to allow for delays, immigrations, customs and rechecking in for your next flight and security.

To each his own...If you're okay with these conditions for a long haul flight that's great. The majority of passengers are not and complain often. It makes very little difference who flys them, it's what you are flying on and for how long that is the issue.
The original question here was about "Best Economy Airline" long haul JFK-FRA. That will be a flight of approx 5 or 6 plus hours.
Most passengers can tolerate single aisle Aircraft for short haul flights of up to 3 hours or less. The question here was about a long haul flight (JFK-FRA) and that is what I responded to.
Most Economy Airlines use single aisle Aircraft long haul so keep that in mind. If you have the choice, consider two aisle Aircraft. You'll be more comfortable for the 5 or 6 plus hours you'll be trapped inside.
I advise this based on years of experience operating single aisle Aircraft long haul and direct, frequent complaints from Passengers about cramped conditions.
The Boeing 767 refered to are in fact, two aisle Aircraft. These are not the single aisle Aircraft that I was referring to. The Boeing 767 Widebody is great, they are two aisle aircraft and a pleasure to operate. Those are far more comfortable to navigate. The extra aisle really does make a difference. So keep that in mind if you have the choice between the two.
