Best driving route from Faenza Italy to Bled, Slovenia

We will be driving from Faenza to either Bled or Ljublijana in early MAy. Is the coast road a possibility or is it best to stick to more major road inland? We will return from Bled to Vicenza in Italy- Best route?- Thanks
