Best Days to travel on train?

Hi, what are the best days to travel on the train outbound from Paris if you want to avoid crowds? example Paris - Brugge and Paris - Lausanne? Fridays and Saturdays should be crowded but how about Sundays?

The usual Paris-to-Bruge route goes through Brussels on the Thalys line. This will always be busy with business travelers during the work week, particularly during the morning and evening. Brussels to Brugge is just a regular commuter line, likely to be busier at similar times.

The busiest times are during rush hours, like freeways here. Think about when you would depart to drive to SF. Weekends, weekdays after 9:30am until 3:30 and evenings are usually lighter traffic.

I live near DC and, beyond normal rush hours, the freeways are pretty packed going North, West or South on Friday night and Saturday morning. Sunday evenings are hell with everyone heading back into DC (Mondays if it's a three day weekend). You might see the same trend for Paris trains.
