best days to buy flight tickets

Supposedly Tuesday is the day that the airlines introduce their deals for the week, so that would be the day to get the best selection if there is an offer that works for you. As far as travel days, it seemed like flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays were generally less expensive than other days of the week.

Always consider open jaw travel. If need be, call the airlines directly. They are actually helpful, sometimes.:-) I know this doesn't have anything to do with what day of the week to purchase your ticket, but I did find that open jaw was cheaper, for whatever reason.
