Best airport to fly into and out of

I plan to be in the south of France in middle to late October. I also plan to visit family who are moving to the Netherlands at this very moment. I want to fly into and out of the most convenient airport. I fly from Seattle on KLM, and can fly directly into and out of Amsterdam. Since I will be in a small town in the South of France, what about traveling by train both ways?

Thanks, Joan

With enough time, you can take the train anywhere. You'll likely need to go through Paris, though.

Why not fly open jaw? The KLM website allows you to do this and you could, for example, fly into Amsterdam and return from someplace like Lyon or Nice.

Hi, Joan.

Have you flown that KLM flight before? I kno wit's direct, but in my personal opinion, it is the worst flight route I've ever taken, and after numerous times, I would never take it again. (My ex was working in Holland when we met, so I've taken that flight more than I care to think.).

The direct flight on Air France to Paris might be another option considering your destination(s).

Open jaw would be a great idea too (as mentioned), as long as it's not through Northwest or KLM.

Just my experience. Chris
