I will be taking an flight most likely on Easyjet from Paris to Venice in October. From my research it sounds like it may be easier to leave out of Orly instead of CDG. Does anyone have any recomendations either way? My times are open. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you
Lisa
Orly is smaller and somewhat closer to Paris, so it makes sense to use it if you have a choice between the two. The one to avoid if possible is Beauvais; it's quite far from Paris.
You can do comparisons, including easy of access, at www.aeroportsdeparis.fr
Harold is correct!!
It depends more on where you are in Paris and how much luggage you have. You can take the train straight to CDG, though you may have a long walk to connect in the metro. To Orly, you can take a train with a connecting bus. If you are taking a taxi, you will want to avoid the daytime traffic, especially in the center of town (and rush hour anywhere). Orly is south of Paris, CDG is to the north. So if you are staying in the north . . . . If you know where you are staying, just figure out the route to each and see which is easier.
Just know that CDG is further north of Paris than Orly is south (I.e., Orly is closer). You can get to Orly in a cab for a reasonable fare.
