Best Airlines to fly direct from Toronto to Paris

We are flying to Paris April 2 for 2 weeks and were wondering which out of Air Canada, Air France or Delta would be the better airline choice to fly direct.

Hi Valerie,

We've flown Air Canada, Air France, Lufthansa, Swiss Air and SAS the last few years. If you're wondering which is better... we really didn't see the big difference between any of them. We fly coach, have a so-so meal and as long as we get to and from where we're going, all is good. Haven't flown a U.S. airline to Europe, so I can't comment on Delta.

Sorry, but we basically go by price, as the service/flying experience is similar between the airlines we've used.

To sum it up, my choice would be between AC and AF. I'd let price and schedule decide for me.

Right now Air Canada is more expensive, by 400 dollars. We also fly coach, we have flown AC last time and had no problems, but the difference in prices is large.

I haven't ever flown with AirCanada, but I was impressed with an Air France flight from Paris to Oslo last year. I can't speak for Delta's overseas service, but if all things were equal between the three airlines I would definitely choose AF or AC - gut feeling. $400 is a lot of money, that's half way to your next round-trip :)

Valerie, i usually go with the least stops and the cheapest. Air France is a good airline, i flew with them twice to Paris and the service was good, nothing to complain about. If you want a cheaper direct flight, you may want to check Air Transat, they have direct flights from Toronto to Paris, but not everyday. It is a budget airline but is is alright!
Good luck!

Valerie,

I used Air Canada to Paris last year, and was pleased with the service. However, the flight departed from Montreal rather than Toronto. I suspect there will be a greater variety of less expensive flights from Montreal than from Toronto (given the stronger "cultural ties" from Quebec).

Unfortunately, I don't believe Air Transat will be an option as they don't start their Europe season until about mid-April.

I can't comment on Air France or Delta, as I've never used them.

Good luck and happy travels!

Part of the issue is that nearly all airlines at some time will let you down, so issues become a random occurrence. The answer generally is the best airline is the cheapest one, followed by consideration for schedule, then smaller items like seating arrangements, entertainment options, maybe even quality of food or drink.

In the case you mention above, you also have to consider that since Air France and Delta are in the same network and codeshare, a flight booked on Delta could very well end up being on an Air France Flight and vice versa.

It also seems that AC puts their fares a bit lower on certain days of the week. I was just wondering if it was worth the extra money to fly with someone specific. Thanks.

Hi Valerie,

Try all the airlines you're thinking of on a Tues. night. Later is better. We've found some great fares at this time of the week (we've bought tix on Tues. nights for our last 6 trips). It seems to me that the fares are lower then. Maybe just a coincidence? Worked for us.

Jim and I are going to paris in the fall - vancouver-london-paris return.

We are flying BA as they had a very resonable price, until $1000.00 each return.

Try flight network, expedia, travelocity, orbitz etc to find the best flight - dont limit yourself to just three airlines.

Oh btw, we were actually planning on flying through the states because the fares were so reasonable, but found the BA fare, so changed our minds.....

Have a great time.

Jim and I were supposed to meet up in Toronto on Wednesday night! When did you make your plans? I don't mean to imply but, how long have you known Jim?
