Bernina Railway - tickets but no seats?

I purchased 1st class tickets for the Bernina Railway from berninarailway.com. It never gave me the option to choose our seats. Did I choose the wrong website?

A ticket is for a route, not a train. It is valid on all trains on the route, for the day of your travel. The railway does not care what train you plan to use the ticket on. Note that "berninarailway.com" is not a site operated by the company that runs the trains. It is an Italy based travel agent. The tickets they sell are regular tickets, the same that you can buy at the station, or on the SBB website. They appear to slightly overcharge you, but not as much as eg. Rail Ninja does. But they do apply the same trick: Set up a site that looks like an official railway site, and lure in the tourists...

You only need a reservation if you plan to travel in the panoramic cars. If you plan on staying on normal trains, or the front cars of the Bernina Express trains you do not need a reservation. You can only get those on www.rhb.ch, the website of the company that actually runs the train...
