I have a seat reservation already for May 29th.
I know I have to wait until March 29th to get a Super Saver pass for May 29th.
What I Don’t know is how to by a 1st. Class ticket for the 8.06 am train-Bernina Express ( that time is on my seat reservation for May 29th).
I have run a date for April and no train I see leaves at 8.06.
Do I just buy a ticket for any train for May 29th??
Check the schedule here:

You will see that beginning 13 May, Train 950 departs Tirano at 8:06, heading northbound.
You can always just buy the ticket at the station. Normal tickets are good for any train on the route. In fact, you cannot even buy a "train" ticket in Switzerland. Tickets are for travel on a particular route on a particular day, not for a particular train service.
Also if you intend to continue to somewhere else after Chur you buy a ticket all the way to that destination. So for example if you are actually continuing to Zurich you need a Tirano - Zurich ticket.
Swiss public transit is fully integrated and ticketing is managed by a central organisation, that sits above the different operators. That is why the ticket lives in a separate universe from the reservation...
Thank you Lola and WengenK.
Wenegen K. If I get a Super Saver Pass do I still need a ticket for the Bernina Express.
Are talking about a Saver Day Pass or a Super Saver Ticket? I don't believe they sell Super Saver tickets for the actual Bernina Express trains, but a Saver Day Pass is valid. Looks like you should be able to get a 1st class Saver Day Pass for 88 CHF, which will save you 23 CHF going to Chur. Once you have a Saver Day Pass, you are good. You have a valid ticket for that day and a seat reservation for that train.
