My wife and I are going on our first Europe trip this summer. We plan on starting in Paris then heading to Bern Switzerland. From Bern I am trying to find information on getting to the st Bernard hospice. Is there a way to get there without resorting to a rental car? We want to continue from there into Aosta Italy on our way to the Cinque Terre. Thanks in advance!
The St. Bernard Express---it is a train from Martigny as far as Orsieres, then by bus to the hospice:
Head over to the travel planner at the Swiss Rail site:
Simply type "Bern" into the From box and then "St. Bernard Hospice" in To box, and it will give you complete directions: train, bus, walking.
Thank you both for the help!
