Berlin Air

Has anyone ever flown with Berlin Air? What was your experience? Positive? What are the baggage allowances? And finally, would you recommend booking them far in advance or waiting until I'm over there?

I should mention I'm specifically looking at flying Munich - Krakow and then Krakow - Berlin. Not that I don't want to hear experiences flying with them elsewhere, but if anyone has any experience flying this route, I would appreciate it!

We flew Berlin from Dusseldorf to Berlin two years ago and had a great experience. Not sure about baggage allowances--I'd check their website. Also, if your dates are firm I'd book online--that's what we did.

Air Berlin is like all budget airlines. The sooner you book, the cheaper the fare. As more seats are sold, the price keeps going up.

I didn't fly that route, unfortunately, but I did fly from Sevilla to Madrid a few years ago with them and had no problems at all. I don't remember overly strict luggage allowances, but this was in 2008, so things have almost certainly changed. At that point, we each had decent-sized rolling carry-on luggage along with laptop case-sized daybags.

It along with Easyjet,is my favorite and most economical way to get around the
Eu while on business.
Last flew with Airberlin in mis-May. They are looser with baggage than Ryanair, which I avoid.

Air Berlin and Easyjet are my two favourite European airlines. The planes are very new and clean and I have flown with them several times. The earlier you book the cheaper it is with most of these airlines.

Hi MD,

My family and I flew from Nice to Dusseldorf 3 years ago. We had a very pleasant experience. We had no problem with our carry-on luggage and the service was wonderful.

We would definitely fly with them again.

Have a wonderful vacation.
