best way to get from bellagio to stresa in july?

I haven't done this but there is regular bus service from Menaggio to Lugano, Switzerland. Once in Lugano, you can take a boat on Lake Maggiore to Stresa. But, I'm betting that the best way is by train which is a 3.0hr. journey back through Milan.
I think that there is a train route through the Malpensa area to shortcut the trip through Milan but I don't know how to route it.

It is so good your are checking the detail of this ahead. In April 2006 I read I could take the airport shuttle to Malpensa from Stresa, well turns out it doesn't start until May. Lots of concern, time and xtra euros later we found another way to make it to Malpensa. If you prefer not to do the very slow and twisty Menagio, Lugano etc. Try ferrying to Como then train it to Milan the train it to Stresa. Or ferry to Como rent a car nr the ferry dock and drive which we did well.
