we're spending a few days in belfast (fell in love with the city while visiting our son two yrs ago, at queens) and thence to edinburgh where our daughter will be in the fringe festival this august. i've done a bit of preliminary ferry research, but would love to hear from someone who has "been there, done that". thanks for any help!
joanna,
As the others have mentioned, using EasyJet or another budget carrier is the easiest and quickest method from Belfast to Edinburgh. You could certainly take a Ferry but that's going to be an all-day trip, as opposed to a few hours by air.
As I recall, there's an airport Bus that departs from the centre of Belfast, but I can't remember the details. If you decide to book with EasyJet, be sure to read the Terms & Conditions carefully, especially related to luggage weights and carry-on limits.
Flybe goes from Belfast City, Easyjet from Belfast International. The former is nearer, therefore quicker and cheaper to get to from the city centre. Just something to factored in when comparing options.
