Beaune France to London

Not able to find reasonable air from Beaune area to London so found train. SNCF Beaune > Paris Bercy then Paris Nord to London on Eurostar.
Rail Europe shows 1:50 between arrival and departure. What is easiest way to make this connection?

Bercy to Gare de Lyon by Metro Line 14 (or walk if you don't have much luggage, it's only one stop) then RER Line D to Gare du Nord. 1 hour fifty should be enough time but make sure you have change to buy metro tickets.

The regional trains from Beaune to Bercy make the trip in 3hr25min. There also are TGVs from Beaune to Gare de Lyon that make the trip in 2hr14min. Rail Europe's timetables are incomplete. For detailed timetables for the entire route see the German Rail site. Be sure to observe the mandatory 30-minute check-in deadline for the Eurostar. If you take a regional train from Beaune to Paris, buy your ticket at the station in Beaune. The 2nd class fare is €47.40. There is no discount for advance purchase. The standard 2nd class fare for a direct TGV is €79. However, if you book ASAP (up to three months allowed) at tgv-europe.com, you can get a Prem's fare as low as €20. Choose France as your ticket collection country. You'll be able to print your own ticket. Book your Eurostar ticket ASAP (up to 120 days allowed) at eurostar.com to get a discount fare as low as €50. Last-minute tickets are very expensive. Print your own ticket.

Has the longer (7 Hr) trip at $370 :-( Seat 51 guy suggests I need to compare price of RailEurope to SNCF and in this case Rail Europe (above post) seems best at $264 for Senior fare. Unless there is something I am missing I will book tonight.

Roger, I've just checked the Beaune to Paris leg of that trip on tgv-europe.com, and it is showing me a fare of €41.20 ( around $60). You can buy on line at tgv-europe (which has recently changed its URL, so go to http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/train-ticket). The old website used to try to redirect you to Rail Europe, and if the new site does the same then select the option to stay on voyages-sncf and choose France as your ticket collection country. Book the Eurostar on www.eurostar.com. There are a few afternoon departures on May 19th which are currently £94 ($146) but they look to be selling fast. It looks like you won't make the 13.13 because you need to allow at least a 30 minute check-in time.

Beaune-Dijon will be on a regional train. The 2nd class fare is €7.60. Buy your ticket in Beaune. Dijon-Gare de Lyon will be on a TGV. The standard 2nd class fare is €55.00. You've waited too long to get the lowest discount fare, but as of a moment ago I could have booked a €37.00 Loisir reduced fare on tgv-europe.com. If it's not important to you to get the Loisir fare on the TGV, then buy both your Beaune-Dijon and Dijon-Paris tickets in Beaune. If you want to get the Loisir fare for Dijon-Paris, go to tgv-europe.com and click on the America tab on the left-hand side of the page. Choose France as your ticket collection country. You'll be able to print your own ticket. Book your Eurostar ticket at eurostar.com and print your own ticket. At this late date the cheapest fare available for the 13:13 train is $180 US. Take the RER D from Gare de Lyon to Gare du Nord. There is a train that departs at 12:26 and arrives at 12:34. If you miss that train, the next one departs at 12:31 and arrives at 12:43, but that's too late for you to meet the minimum 30-minute check-in deadline for the Eurostar. Even if you catch the 12:26 RER D train, you're cutting it awfully close. If the TGV is only a few minutes late, you'll miss the Eurostar deadline. I recommend that you book the 14:13 Eurostar and give yourself some wiggle room. If you do that, you could take a direct regional train from Beaune to Bercy (€47.40), departing at 08:57 and arriving at 12:22. You wouldn't have to make a connection in Dijon and you'd have plenty of time to get from Bercy to Gare du Nord.
