Bayeux to Paris, France

On our recent trip to France during the week and a half before Christmas 2019, we experienced the train workers protests. We originally took a privately hired car from Albion Voyages, a company recommended in Rick Steves guide, to drive us from Paris to Bayeux. We spent a couple of days touring Normandy, the D-Day sights and Mont St. Michel. A bucket list dream for the family.
Then it was time to return to Paris for the rest of our vacation, but our train, in fact most all of the trains had been cancelled due to the strike/protests. We called up Adrienne O'Donoghue, the owner of Albion Voyages in a slight panic and asked if she could arrange a car back to Paris. She explained that all of her drivers were booked due to the protests, but if we could get up at O dark thirty the next morning, we could make Paris. Apparently every rental car in France was rented and most of those were heading to Paris for the workday with us! Many thanks to our patient driver Jean Francois.
I wanted to thank Adrienne of Albion Voyages who literally came to our hotel in Bayeux and worked out a solution to our problem. She was over and above helpful during our predicament and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her company for any travel needs in France.
