Bath-Windsor-Hampton Court?

We have two options for traveling, but not sure how this could work, advice would be appreciated. We are in Bath 2 nights regardless.

Option 1: On Tue 4/21, we have full day in Bath, and leave Bath by Train to Windsor and arrive around 19:00pm, we have a room for 1 night. Next morning (Wed) we want to do Windsor Castle in AM, take train to Hampton Court in PM.

Option 2: We cut our Bath trip short, and leave Bath morning of Tue 4/21, do Windsor castle Tue, stay in our hotel Tuesday night, then take train to Hamptom Court Wed AM.

Problem is with our luggage. In either option, we would prefer to just take it with us to Hampton Court so we don't have to come back to Windsor (90 minute train each way), since we have to go to north-central London that Wed evening anyway. Would just prefer to go Hampton Court back to Waterloo directly. Or is it best to just leave luggage in Windsor, go back and get it,then head back London from there? Seems like there are '2' train options out of Windsor-to-Hampton Court, one through Waterloo station, which looks like it allows stored luggage.

Deborah, I think option 1 is a little too aggressive, although you might be able to do it if you don't take your time at either castle. The town of windsor is very quaint also, and I like the shopping there. At the train station there are some unique vendors.

Hampton Court is one of my favorite castles, and I can't imagine going and spending less than 2 hours (more if you want to wander the maze). I guess if it were me I would try and do option 2, and leave luggage at Waterloo.

Look at the Hampton Palace web site to plan your visit! This is the 500th anniversary of H8th becoming king, big things going on at Hampton Court. try to go one of the days they are cooking in the Tudor kitchen.

Thanks everyone, looks like I'm settling on arriving in Windsor on Tuesday morning and spending all day there. Then Wednesday morning go to London to Waterloo station, storing luggage, and back to Hampton Court. Spread over 2 days than 1 makes this sounds more enjoyable. May also may try to do Kew Gardens/Hampton Court in the same day, with more time spent at Hampton Court...

Thanks!!
