We will fly in to Bilbao spain from Madrid and wish to take the PESA bus to Bayonne France for the start of our tour. What is the best way to get to the bus station from the Bilbao airport and can we buy our bus tickets in advance?

Bilbao's modern airport is small and easily navigated. Its website says there is bus service from the airport to San Sebastian. It's a little awkward because it calls the airport Loiu, after the Bilbao suburb where it is located. Current price appears to be 15.75. I don't see an on-line order form but you probably don't need one. It's a scenic drive, although I took it from the downtown bus terminal. Now I can put in my plug for Bilbao itself, which has lots to offer beside its famous Guggenheim art museum. With a long industrial history and scenic position in the curves of its river, it serves good food that's not as famous as San Sebastian but covers lots of tapas/pintxos for grazing.

Thank you for the info. I will look at the bus and airport websites again. We do plan to spend two days in Bilbao on our return from Bayonne.
