Basic Rail Pass Question

I remember reading once that the rail pass allows you to take as many trains per day as you would like. I can't remember if/where I read that, or if I simply made it up. I bought a BritRail and Eurail Flexipass, 8ish days on each that can be used over a period of two months. Does this mean that I can use the pass as many times as I want per day for eight separate days within a two month window? Thank you for the clarification. The paranoia in me needed to be calmed.

You're absolutely right, Chad. Kiss your paranoia good bye :-)

NB: If you take a train that departs after 7pm and does not connect anywhere, mark that trip for the following travel day. Night trains that leave after 7pm w/o connections use one day, not two.

Yes. We did that. We had a BritRail Pass a number of years ago. On our last day, we took the train from Edinburgh to London, then on to Gatwick where we had reservations for a local hotel. After settling in and realizing it was still early, we took the train back to London, had dinner and walked around, then returned to Gatwick for the night.

Save your railpass for bigger trips. We bought a 4 in 15 day pass and used regular tickets for short trips and the railpass for longer ones.
