Basel SBB/Bale SNCF and Alsace pass

I recently discovered a great pass for Alsace on TER. http://www.vialsace.eu/ftp/EN_documents/tim_en.swf Does anyone know if TER has a ticket kiosk at the SNCF section of Basel SBB? I'll be in Basel in December at the end of a Rhine Christmas markets cruise and hope to hop the train to Colmar from Basel for the day. Otherwise, I'll go to St. Louis to get the ticket there. From all I've been able to learn, Basel/Bale is included in the pass. The Haut-Rhin 20 euro pass is perfect for the day I'm planning. Last year it even included the Christmas shuttle to outlying village markets on the pass! Thanks,
Jane

All I remember in the little former/current border area of the station between the SBB Hbf and the platforms 36-40 (or whatever the numbers are) which constitutes the SNCF "station" are a frosted glass door, a closed customs counter, and a closed immigration booth; and a few forlorn platforms off the end where the TER trains (very comfy by the way as long as you don't mind flapping curtains in the breeze of open windows instead of A/C) come and go from. I don't think there are even ticket machines. I bet that the SBB folks at the main windows or in the Travel Centre will do what they can to help,

Thanks Nigel! Someone from Basel on tripadvisor.com called the SNCF section l'phantom since it's so empty. She's going to check it out this week and see if there's a ticket machine. How nice is that?! It's all an adventure! Jane

There is a ticket machine at the Basel SBB and I hope to be using it on December 9th for a day trip to Colmar and their Christmas Markets! A wonderful tripadvisor.com member actually went to the station and checked it out... wow... how nice is that?!?!
