I will be traveling from Burgos to Barcelon and arriving in the evening. I would like to stay in a safe area (I am studying abroad) overnight and then go to the airport the next day in the morning. I heard there is an aerobus, but not sure about the train station location. Would it be better to stay near the airport?

anu, You should be able to stay near Plaça Catalunya or Plaça Espana, as those are both pick-up locations for the Aerobus (I'd suggest Catalunya - Hotel NH Barcelona Centro is within easy walking distance). You'll have to figure out which Terminal your flight is departing from, as there are two different Buses. You should stay near Plaça de Catalunya - you can catch everything (Metro, Aerobus, etc) from there. You will be able to get a taxi or the Metro into Catalunya very easily from Sants (the train station).

Ditto Ken and Nicole. Stay near the Plaza Catalunya. The Aerobus is great. staying near the train station is not that great and it's not near the action or the great tapas bars. Worse yet, the train does go to the airport but it doesn't go to the main terminal. It goes to the old terminal which is some distance away so you have to take the inter-terminal bus to get to the main terminal. You really can't walk between the two.
