Barcelona to Nancy

Hello,
I'm planning a trip for this april to Paris then Madrid, and Valencia and then up to Barcelona. I would be interested in knowing how to get back up to Nancy, France form there.
Is it cheaper to take the train into France and continue northwards? or fly directly from Barcelona?
If it is cheaper to fly from Barcelona, are there planes that go directly to Nancy?
