We're planning to take a train from Barcelona to Madrid in a few weeks. We haven't booked it yet - do we need to? Family of 4. It's almost $100 cheaper via Renfe as opposed to Rail Europe. Would we be able to book it once we get to Barcelona you think? Thanks

Book it as soon as you arrive in Barcelona. There are several trains a day, so you shouldn't have any problem getting seats.

The other option is to fly. vueling.com offers some good fares, depending on when you're going....and Ibeeria has been forced to counter with some discounts.
