Hi, I will check with the airlines but would like to hear from other travelers about checked-in baggage transfers for international destinations. We will be traveling to Prague in October. From San Diego we fly to Chicago to take a connecting flight to Munich. These flights are with United. Will United handle the baggage transfer, or will we have to check in our baggage again in Chicago? From Munich to Prague we fly on Lufthansa (operated by Augsburg Airways) and I think we do have to check in again at Munich because it is a different airline. Thanks for any and all replies!
