My wife and I might be travelling from Monterosso to Nice via train and thought we would stop in Monte Carlo for a few hours before arriving in Nice. According to Rick's book, there are no storage facilities in the Monte Carlo train station. Does anyone know where we might store our bags for a few hours while touring Monte Carlo? I'd hate to have to carry them around. I guess an option would be to go all the way to Nice, store our bags and back track to Monte Carlo but that seems like a waste of time. Any Ideas? Thanks. Tom

there is no place to store your bag at the train station in monte carlo. it's actually not very far from nice to monte carlo, so going into nice and then back is not much time wasted. in addition, the train between the 2 cities run along the coast and there are a few no name stops along the way are very nice. if you have time you should just randomly hop on/off the train to check them out, walk the coast give you some pretty nice view of grand houses, it's pretty cool. most of the stops don't have ticket window or any clerk, just hop on the next passing train in the right direction you'll be ok.
