Hi, I'm planning to stay a few days in Florence with my wife and baby. This will imply quite a few luggage pieces that I don't want to carry across tuscany. I was thinking to leave them a couple of days in the SMN train station but the website is not clear if they allow luggage pieces multiple days in the consignment, if anyone has tried this option, please let me know. Also, if you can think of any other option, I'm open to suggestions. thanks for your help
Mario, You might have a look at This Website (scroll down to the appropriate section for Firenze SMN). While it doesn't specifically indicate that they allow overnight luggage storage, the rates seem to imply that this is allowed. Storage for a few days should be under €20, if my calculations are correct. Regarding the website, it's current and from a reliable source (Ron has great advice on travel in Italy!). Given the current "travel climate" these days, you'll probably have to present your Passport when storing the luggage. Happy travels!
I seem to recall that you can leave bags at the train station for up to one week. Ask your hotel, who would either know or could call and confirm. Another option is to ask your hotel if they would hold the bags for a few days, which they might do for free.
