Bad experience with car rental in Tunisia

I travel quite a bit around the world and also rent a car a lot on my trips.
I went to Tunisia in March 2025. A relatively small country, but naturally diverse and exciting. Full of history, cool architecture and attractions. Nice, cheerful and hospitable people. And I want to go back there, because there wasn't enough time to see the whole country this time.
But ... I also have to add a drop of tar to the honey pot.

When it comes to renting a car for my self-organized trip to Tunisia, I followed usually the principle of helping local businesses. I chose the local TUNISIA RENT CAR, chose not the smallest, but still quite small car, and also took out maximum insurance - with zero deductible.

And I failed, there was a small insurance claim, nothing major - no person or any other vehicle was damaged, only my car a little, but the deposit was not returned and repeated attempts to negotiate did not help, they never even bothered to answer emails for explain.
That's such a "zero deductible" from a local car rental company - TUNISIA RENT CAR.

I do not recommend them, you may get scammed.

Did the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, or the rental agreement, specify that any deposit (deposit on what, exactly) would be returned?
