I planned myself into an itinerary that has me traveling from Bacharach Germany to Interlaken Switzerland in on day. By train it looks like around
6.5 hours, via Mainz and Besel. Obviously there isn't a high speed train from Bacharach to Interlaken, but I'm wondering if anybody has any tricky ideas. Flights from like Frankfurt into Switzerland are very expensive. Thanks! Joe L

No tricks. It would take that long to get to an airport and hour before departure, go through security, fly to Switzerland, take a train to Interlaken. You can get SparPreis fare of 69 euro. Since you will be on the Mannheim-Interlaken ICE for 4 hr 20 min, you can relax, have lunch in the restaurant car.
