BA Strike & Easyjet ticketing problem

We have a mega mile award travel trip to Italy & our leg out of Heathrow is cancelled with the next flight full & nothing on BA for 10 days. In trying to book an Easyjet substitute, the website repeatedly rejected my credit and debit cards. The info was all accurate and I tried amex, visa and a visa debit. They have no phone number; can anyone help?? I tried again later with same results. Carol

It's quite possible that computers for each of your card providers are blocking your cards for what they recognize as unusual activity (a transaction in Europe) and therefore might be fraudulent activity.

If you call customer service for each card company, they should be able to straighten things out for you.

It didn't work! AMEX said no one had attempted any charges!

What about calling the bank that issued your Visa card? Sometimes, even if locations say they can accept Amex, they may have problems. As well, it may take a while for the cc company to actually remove the block. So don't panic....yet. ;)
