Avoid Webjet When Booking Flights

STOP! Do not book through Webjet!

Webjet told us the amount we would be refunded if we chose to cancel a flight rather than change the dates. We made our decision to cancel. A month later they said that they misquoted the amount and we would be refunded $200 less. I argued that they couldn't change their minds AFTER we had made our decision based on their written statement of the refund amount. After weeks of calls we finally spoke to the supervisor and were told the full amount would be refunded THAT night. A week later it had not happened. Talked to a different customer service representative and she said their would have to be a "meeting" to decide whether to refund us the full amount. Days later I was told they "approved" the full refund and it would be returned to my card THAT night. A week later I called when it had not been refunded and was told that the refund would come from the airline (not webjet) and it would take 30-60 business days more. It has been seven weeks since our cancellation and we are now told it could be another 7-10 weeks before we get a refund. (Will we?) On one occassion when I called trying to reach the supervisor of customer service representative that had made the commitment, the service person acknowledged that she could not connect me because she was the ONLY ONE in the office at the time. This is a small operation that is unreliable. BUYER BEWARE!

Never call. Only use written communication so you have a record.
Have you contacted the airline to see if the refund is in the pipeline?
The standard rule is you can cancel within 24 hours. I've never heard of anyone canceling after 24 hours and being refunded except for deaths of serious illnesses when the airline became sympathetic.

This is another example of why people should ways book directly with an airline and not a third party.
Do you have the original contract with the refund policies in writing? Do you have dates and documents for a credit card dispute?

Just contest the credit card charge and be done with it.

This is on your credit card? And a month after the initial cancel it wasn't there? Your first and only contact with them should have been within 3 days of not getting the refund, and informed them that if it is not there by COB then you will make a merchant fraud report to your credit card. That is much more of a problem for them then numerous calls from you. Of course, it also means that you have documentation of how they defrauded you.
