This might be the time to either book a rental or check to see if prices have changed in a reservation you may have. We just saved about $500 on a car rental that I’d booked a few months ago…I checked last night, booked a new reservation and cancelled the original. The sale goes through June 1. We’re planning to use the savings on gelato and spritzes!

AutoEurope is always my go to when renting cars. I book early and periodically check prices. I don’t know if it is still their policy, but you’d only have to call their toll-free number and they would honor the new amount and issue you a credit. I also would check their European website and sometimes have found substantial savings but then you’d have to buy on that site and cancel on US site.

Good to know, Philip! The same thing happened several years ago…I called, but was told I had to cancel and rebook. I agree…Auto Europe has always been great…easy to work with and responsive when we had to make a last minute itinerary adjustment.
