I would like to buy the Austrian Rail Pass. Can anyone tell me if I would be able to use one of my travel days to go from Salzburg to Fussen in Germany? I emailed OBB a couple of days ago but still no response.

Buy a Bayern Ticket for that day. 23 euro for the first person and 4 euro for each additional person for up to 5 traveling together.

Just did some reading on this pass at DB Bahn and it seems to fit just right. I would able to go from Salzburg to Fussen for much less then an individual ride from OBB. Who is asking 63 Euro for the ride 2nd class. Going to skip the Austrian pass. It will work better for me this way. I thank you for your help and for saving me money.
Would you know if Austria offers a similar unlimited one day ticket?

An Austria rail pass does not apply to those German trains and the Bayern ticket is the best bet. OBB has several types of discounts, which we describe at the bottom of http://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/austria-rail-passes. The Einfach Raus ticket is one of the Group ticket discounts listed there, valid for groups on slower trains, as is the Bayern ticket. If you have at least three longer travel days within Austria, then the Austria rail pass gives you full flexibility to use any trains on those days and extra travel days within Austria cost about $15 per person in 2nd class.
