Is there anyway to get to the luge runs, between Salzburg and Hallstatt, if your not driving?
When we took a Sound of Music tour in Salzburg, a visit to a luge was included. It was a lot of fun!
Thanks.I'll check that out.
My husband and both my sons (13 and 18 at the time) really enjoyed the luge runs. Well, my sons more than their Dad. Me, well, color me chicken yellow:)
I did the same SOS tour. It's Bob's tour and you get a discount with your Rick Steve's Guide book. They have small vans. It was great fun! Pam
We also took Bob's SoM tour and went to the luge place. Unfortunately, there was time to go on only one run. :-(
We managed to get two runs in. Wish there had been time for more.
Thank you all for your comments.Being that I'm not a big SOM fan,I think I'll use 1 of my car rental days to drive from salzburg to Hallstatt. That way I can do as many luge runs as I want.Sounds like lots of fun!Is the luge place near Hallstatt?
Has anyone driven the road B158 between Salzburg and Hallstatt? It looks like a nice drive past 2 other lakes.
