In his ETBD book, Rick recommends hitting Egypt at the end of a trip to Greece. Rick also suggested booking the Athens to Cairo leg of your trip after you've arrived in Greece. Has anyone done this? What airline would you recommend, and can you give me an approximate cost? Thank you!

No answers eh? I haven't done exactly as you wrote, I took a plane from Istanbul to Cairo after a trip to Greece and Turkey. I flew Air Egypt, and I can't remember the price - this was 3 years ago. Probably $200-300 return. This ticket was arranged before I left Vancouver.

Thanks for the info, Chris. I tried some of the web sites recommended in our Athens/Pelo. book, and I found fares on Egyptian Airlines for similar rates as you. Appreciate your insight!

Connie, try using www.kayak.com. Basically, Kayak is a free consolidated site for airline flight info - you can branch to a purchase but not required. Just for the heck of it, I looked for a 1-way from Athens to Cairo on Tuesday Aug 18. The best fare was Egypt Air, departing 2:30 pm, arriving 4:30 pm, for $253.
