have a faint recollection of reading somewhere about a #400 bus that is hop on hop off in athens that goes to all the major tourist sites does anyone know if it is still running and where to catch it and where it goes?

Joy....according to the Athens urban transit organization, it's up and running. Check out http://www.oasa.gr/index.asp?pageid=105. I've got an e-mail out to a Greek friend to confirm.

Joy....my Greek friend confirms that, yes, the 400 bus is running, and it's still 5 Euro for the day pass.

Was there in April and it is still running is in good working order.
Not only is it a nice tour, but it is also a main transportation route for local Athenians each day. I doubt they will ever stop service on this route.
