My wife and I and another couple are looking to book the night train from Paris to Florence and I understand that there are two types of 1st class cabins - one comfortable and one where you both sleep next to the ceiling. Does anyone know of a web site where I can pick our cabins? Thank you for your help.

If you can handle French, you can book on the Artesia site. However, if you need to book in English and choose the USA, all you'll get is a link to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares.
Instead, book at www.tgv-europe.com. To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site, choose Great Britain as your country of residence.
