Arriving in Barcelona by cruise ship. Would like to find a guide for a city tour leaving from the ship and then going to our hotel, downtown, later in the afternoon. Any suggestions? Will be in the city four days and will want some guided tours. Has anyone had a good tour guide / company there?
In addition to any answers you get here, be sure to look at Cruise Critic. Here's the link to their Spain Ports Forum.
Two websites that you can look at. http://www.toursbylocals.com/Barcelona-Tours?s=BA_10_003A_barcelona%20tour%20+guides&utm_source=MSAC&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=10_003A and http://barcelonacityguides.com/ Not sure of arrangements to meet you at the ship. Also, the port is a short distance from the pick-up points for the three Hop On/Hop Off bus tours for Barcelona.
nANCY,
I have done tours in Barcelona with two organizations: the Barcelona Tourist Office - find them below Placa Catalunya and Runner Bean - find them by Googling Runner Bean Tours. The TI was fine, with great tours except I wanted to do a Gaudi tour and they only had them on Fridays. I wasn't able to be in Barcelona on Friday so I
went with Runner Bean. Both do awesome tours - you can not lose with either.
