Arrivals at Heathrow: How long to get through customs at midday?

We are arriving at Heathrow on a Monday 12:15 p.m flight. What's been your experience on how long it takes to get through and out the door?

Our plane is scheduled to land at 12:15 p.m. and there is a National Express bus we had hoped to take to Bath at 1:15 p.m. Is there any chance we could make that bus at the Heathrow bus terminal? The next direct bus to Bath would be at 3:15, so after flying overnight we are hoping we don't have to wait another 2 hours to board for a 2.5-hour bus journey.

Let me know your experiencing about deplaning at Heathrow and the time to get through all the checkpoints.

Thanks!

There is a chance you would make it, but I would notbank on it. Immigartion lines cam be long and baggage claim is hit and miss. We have walked right up and collected ours off the belt; we have also waited 45 mins for it.

As Iain said there is a good chance that you will make it, but if you don't you could take a taxi to Slough (15 minute ride) train station and get a train there is one that leaves at 2:14pm the fare is around £20.00.

Adding to Robin's comments. Monday-Saturday there are at least two trains/hour from Slough to Bath Spa (connection required in Reading). On Sunday there is hourly service.

The super off-peak single fare for Slough-Bath Spa is £23.50. The regular off-peak single fare is £28.00.

You also can take the RailAir bus from Heathrow to Reading (£14.00 online or £16.00 at the station) and the train from there to Bath Spa (€20.00 super off-peak and £24.00 regular off-peak).
